Support Black Women Innovators, Creatives, Entrepreneurs, and Movements with a Donation to Black Women Disrupt

Black Women Disrupt is a social impact investment mechanism and platform that maps and connects both individuals and networks with the goal of raising visibility and providing opportunities for women of African descent. We harness entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation to support the growth and economic empowerment of our community.  Since 2018, BWD has co-sponsored events with women entrepreneurs, aka “Sister Disruptors”, from Brazil, Angola, the United States and Colombia and launched a global campaign to recognize Black Women innovators around the world. BWD has partnered with kweliTV, Atlantic Fellows, Africa is a Country, CEAF/ICESI, MUICA Film Festival and Howard University Graduate Film Program to launch an initiative called Black Women Disrupt the Web. This global web series competition was a six-month process designed to offer financial investment, technical assistance, mentorship and masterclasses as well as cash prizes to successfully produce an international showcase of five compelling original web series created by sister disruptors from Brazil, Colombia, Kenya and South Africa, hosted on the first worldwide black-owned streaming platform. Black Women Disrupt intends to amplify and continue to invest in the talent and leadership of Black women across the diaspora to inspire and challenge one another, co-create across borders and transform the societies in which we live.

Your donations support Black women innovators and entrepreneurs in social, creative and traditional fields across the African diaspora. From Atlanta to São Paulo, Johannesburg to Lima.

Your tax deductible donation helps (is fundamental) to sustain our innovative programs, networking exchanges, and capacity building as we help Sister Disruptors unite and build a future where our stories, experiences, talent and technologies are visible at home and abroad.
