Tarha McKenzie is an independent contractor working in the film production, distribution, and festival industries since 2011. Awarded with a distinction, she graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Arts degree specializing in Film and Media Production. Her career highlights include managing Africa’s premiere documentary festival – the Encounters South African International Documentary Festival. She has coordinated and created a pipeline for African feature fiction and documentary content at Big World Cinema. She also assisted in connecting audiences and developing new business models for digital non-fiction stories at the immersive company Electric South and is currently managing the catalogue of immersive content for TechRow, a New York based immersive educational start-up that is transforming the classroom for the future. She has previously worked on award-winning projects that broadcasted on Amazon Prime, Sundance TV and Al Jazeera.
